PMS

PMS, or premenstrual syndrome, is experienced by an estimated 85 percent of all women at some point during their lives. PMS is an umbrella term used to describe a number of physical and emotional changes that women undergo in the days between ovulation and the onset of the monthly period. These changes are attributed to changing hormone levels in the body.

Increased levels of certain hormones may result in specific PMS symptoms. The secretion of too much prolactin from the pituitary gland causes breast tenderness. Excessive prolactin secretion can also interfere with ovulation and may result in irregular periods. Another hormone, aldosterone, is secreted by the adrenal glands. Aldosterone levels normally increase after ovulation. This hormone acts by causing fluid retention, which in turn leads to bloating, headaches and breast swelling in some women.

The brain does not utilize the mood-stabilizing neurotransmitter serotonin efficiently in some women, resulting in depression or anxiety. Endorphins, which are natural mood enhancers, may be secreted in reduced amounts by the pituitary gland, contributing to depression and to increased pain sensitivity. Increased sensitivity to insulin may result in episodes of low blood sugar, which in turn may increase irritability.

It is not fully understood why some women experience PMS, and others don’t. Women with a close blood relative who also has PMS are more likely to suffer from PMS themselves. The types and severity of symptoms vary from one woman to the next. A more severe form of PMS is called premenstrual dysphoric disorder, or PMDD.

In general, PMS tends to become worse the closer a woman gets to menopause. PMS-like symptoms can also be triggered when a woman undergoes major hormonal changes (such as those that occur during pregnancy), when on hormonal contraceptives or after a miscarriage or childbirth.

Non-dyed hair never has perfectly even color. Bleach is not a hair dye its more of a color strip. If you only want a 100% all natural hair dye then use the plant based henna hair color. Meanwhile, temporary dyes and highlight treatments should be able to color hair without the need for harsh chemicals.

More specifically, the question is which color of hair will hair dye affect the most. Never mix different hair dye products, because you can induce potentially harmful reactions (if not an unappealing hair color). White girls can dye their hair any color they want.

The same hair color dyes are used as are used in other permanent hair color products. Because permanent dyes contain hydrogen peroxide, they cover gray hair more effectively and can be used to lighten hair color, unlike other dyes. Underground Color is a semi-permanent hair dye, which means it won’t wash out the next day. The law does not require that coal tar hair dyes be approved by FDA, as is required for other uses of color additives.

The solution of hair dyes does not allow for any, “gradual,” color change when, and if, you feel it’s time to do so. However frequent applications would be required to sustain the color as the dye fades with time, exposure to environment and regular washing of hair.

I use to dye my hair blue black and wanted to change it to red. When you color your hair the first time, you have to dye out your normal hair melanin color and replaced it with red dye. Therefore, some bats are marked with black hair dye and the other are marked with red hair dye.

You see that luscious red head on the hair dye box and you think, “Wow! I’m getting ready to do that to my black hair and dye it red on top of that. But the red color is not going to come out exactly as seen in the model of the Hair Dye box. As a rule of thumb, the color you will get depends on your natural hair color.

If you have dark hair, your red will come out a dark red, and if you have very light, or blonde colored hair, your red well come out flaming red! So, don’t always believe that you will be getting exactly the same color as portrayed in the box.

Your Hair is your crowning glory. Hair Dye is the direct path to perfect hair color, but what about the risks? Come find out all about Hair Dye at HairDye.eabout.info

There are many reasons that a disposable color contact is a good choice for your needs. Today, most contact lenses that are purchased are disposable and there is good reason for this. No matter if you are new to contact lenses or looking to add them to your ability to look perfect with these fashion accessories, you need to know why disposable color contacts are a better choice.

These contacts are ideal for anyone that is looking to change their eye color. They can be made in both prescriptions and non prescriptions. They will provide you with a wide range of benefits as well. For example, the disposable products are often able to provide a more healthy atmosphere for your eyes. Because they are thrown out, they do not allow for the break down and dysfunction that happens over time.

They are also more affordable to purchase in the short run. They are offered at a lower price in most cases. But, in the long run you may pay more for them than other versions of contact lenses. Of course, if you just want to have them to provide you with a fashion accessory need, make sure to dispose of them as you should to keep your eyes healthy.

Disposable colored contacts allow many people to change the color of they eyes easily. Most of the time, these are ideal because they are throw away which means a lower price for them. It also means that you need to insure that you get the right product for your eyes. You should always have a full eye exam and measurement before you purchase any of these. In any case, disposable color contacts are often a good, or the best, choice for eye needs. They are available throughout the web for even lower and more affordable purchases as well.

How well are you taking care of yourself? What is self-care? Self-care means getting enough relaxation, staying fit, maintaining a healthy diet, having fun doing activities you enjoy and spending time with family and friends. When you take good care of yourself you feel good, look better, enjoy life and are able to tackle everyday stresses.

Self-care is not selfish, as some people may believe. In fact, if you take good care of yourself are able to take care of others much more easily. Some people find taking care of themselves difficult and believe they are being self- indulgent. Always putting others first will take its toll on your health; will lower your self-esteem and damage relationships. Here are some self-care tips.

1. Have something pleasurable planned for yourself every day. Make time for relaxing activities. Take time to spend with yourself, reading, mediating, taking a walk in nature, getting a massage or whatever pleases you.

2. Don’t get involved with trying to solve other peoples’ problems. Be supportive and listen but don’t overburden yourself.

3. Take time to cultivate relationships. Studies show that having friends and a social network helps reduce stress. Friends offer us opportunities to talk about our feelings and they provide us with feedback.

4. Take care of your health by eating foods that are good for you. A balanced diet can lift your mood, give you more energy, prevent illness and will help you feel better to cope with life’s stresses.

5. Take time for hobbies and activities. Make a list of hobbies and activities you enjoy. It might be dancing, taking your dog for a walk, playing a sport, inviting friends over for dinner, hiking etc. Set time aside to do the activities you enjoy most. You will feel better because of it and so will those around you.

6. Keep fit. Regular exercise improves the efficiency of the heart, maintains good blood circulation and lowers blood pressure. During exercise the body releases hormones, which are natural anti-depressants. Regular exercise acts as a ‘time out’ and gives your mind a break.

7. Avoid tobacco, drugs and alcohol. Alcohol and drugs give a temporary relief from stress but will decrease the body’s ability to withstand stress and will cause long-term damage to the body.

As women age their bodies inevitably change. After decades of maturing and living, women find themselves entering menopause.

With the end of menstruation, many women experience numerous side effects. Many are nothing more than inconvenience, the dreaded cold and hot spells and the hair loss.

However for many women menopause also brings about memory loss and a feeling of forgetfulness. Small details that they once retained with ease now elude them.

This is now the time that many women want to experience the same clarity they had years ago.

Finding a way to boost their memory is one way they can control the changes their body is going through. Dealing with daily brain fog is a problem that can be addressed.

An often thought cause of declining memory function in women of menopause age is a lower level of estrogen in the body.

As the body nears menopause and prepares to cease monthly menstruation, the estrogen levels that were once strong begin to decline.

Many women turn towards conventional medicine that speaks to the benefits of taking an estrogen supplement as a means to ward off the loss of memory that plagues women entering menopause.

They are prescribed a daily or weekly dose of estrogen which is designed to replace the estrogen lost through the process of aging.

The body absorbs the added supplements and the mind becomes focused and clear again as it was when the woman was younger. The estrogen acting as a booster for the memory this results in the fogginess that was being felt to disappear.

One of the best defenses against a loss of memory for maturing women is exercise.

This not only works as a strong stimulant for the brain but it helps to clear the mind. Often when a person is thinking of too many things at once, the brain becomes almost overloaded and just as a cup or bowl becomes full and the liquid seeps out over the edge, so do some details in a memory that is filled to capacity.

Menopause often brings about sadness or bouts of depression in women. As women enter a new stage in life they remember their younger years and the promise that those years had.

Now looking back they might recall many of the things they didn’t accomplish. This can lead to a feeling of sadness or depression which also contributes to reduced memory.

By exercising in a moderate way daily or even several times a week, the body responds to that stimulation by helping to relieve the sense of depression, thus working towards feeling as though the memory is back on target.

Being mentally stimulated also helps the menopausal women in many ways. Be it reading a book to their grandchild or playing a friendly game of cards, they are engaging their memories.

By keeping focused on using their minds, their memory naturally stays alert. Boosting the memory this way is a great method of keeping the menopausal women as aware as she was decades ago.

Even though the menopausal woman has to accept the many changes that her body is going through, she doesn’t have to accept memory changes at all.

Boosting her memory is a vitally important step to keeping herself young.
