You have all seen them before, ads featuring “GOVERNMENT AUCTION, HUGE SAVINGS ON CARS, JEWELRY, AND MORE!” But the problem is that they are usually advertised in such a cheesy and unbelievable way that the more discerning shoppers simply write them off as being too good to be true.

Listen to me thoughthere ARE government auctions, and they do offer good savings. City police and other law enforcement agencies including the military and the DNR are seizing property as either a punishment or that was gained illegally (most of the time with bad money). They are using these sales as fundraisers so obviously they are just giving them away but just like any auction if you do your homework and remain disciplined and patient you will save significant amounts of cash on quality stuff.

How do you find these auctions? Well most are advertised, often in a very cheesy manner as mentioned earlier, in local and national newspapers. They can also be found advertised on the internet. You can either do all this research yourself or you can hire one of the many list services that can do the searching for you and comes up with a list of all the government auctions that are with in your location, type of products, and date parameters. These services are usually less than 40$ and can be a good idea for the person that doesn’t have a lot of extra time for research.

That is not the only homework that you have to do be for you go to a government auctions. As you probably realize it is important to do research on the stuff that you want to buy before hand so that you don’t get stuck paying too much for something. You also want to be able to evaluate the product on hand to determine if it is in good condition and worth buying.

Just like with any auction, a government auction will have many eager sellers and it is important to not get caught up with the frenzy of a sale and pay too much for “winning” something. Set a price before hand and stick to it. As they say “deals come and deals go.”

Abrahem Mittell is the typical bargain hunter, he loves to give away his secrets. One of his favorites is the government auction. If you want to save lots of money you need to check out www.governmentauctiongroup.info.

Many of us can feel the changes we are experiencing since we entered the new millennium, and we wonder what it is. What’s going on around us? I still remember the last day of the old millennium when we were discussing what we could expect, and some of us said that it would not be a big deal…just business as usual. But it was certainly more than that. We are going through a major transition in all aspects of our lives, politically, economically, culturally and of course societal.

Never before did we have such rapid advancements in technology, and countries we considered “the third world” are now on the verge of becoming economic super powers. In our countries, the economies no longer provide a large enough number of jobs, but due to the globalization are exporting those jobs to those countries where labor is still cheap. Yet consumption is still going up and up and we still believe in the promise of unlimited growth without consequences. On the other hand, the damage we are inflicting on the environment is already beyond imagination and, if we don’t finally act upon on a worldwide scale, we are heading for disaster. Politically our world is divided in mainly two groups: the “Have’s” and the “Have not’s”, the latter being by far the larger group of people. The stress on our society thus is steadily increasing and like in all systems it is going to break. The question is not if, but when this is going to take place.

So we have some difficulties here to solve: How can we achieve a more equal distribution of the benefits available to us between the richer and the poorer countries/people? Are the rich countries and rich people willing and prepared to share more of what they have for the benefit of all involved? Are the poor countries and the poor people prepared and willing to contribute for a better world by getting the education and the understanding required? How do we convince the leaders of the governments, the corporations, and the affluent individuals that our actual course of action is leading us into a dead end?

I am envisioning a “world-society” open to true wealth, which consists of the physical, the mental, and the spiritual realms. I am envisioning a society that encourages teaching how to think, thus changing radically the actual concepts of education. I am envisioning a society dedicated to protect our environment and creating the necessary structures to rebuild what has been already destroyed. I am envisioning a society where the individual is listened to and counts. I am envisioning a society promoting the peaceful coexistence of all of us, since we are all equal and coming from the very same source.

Can all this be achieved? I have no doubt about it. It requires commitment from each and everybody to raise our awareness and become conscious of who we really are. It is in our hands to decide our fate as mankind and the time is now! We have to take action and not wait for our neighbor to start, because as always charity begins at home.

For the first time in history, we have the advanced technology available to make this transition into a better world for all of us. Governments won’t just do anything if there is no clearly stated will of those who vote. Let’s listen to the voice of our souls! For many of us, our lives feel empty because we lost the connection to our spirituality thus concentrating on monetary issues only and believing that this would make us happy. It we truly want to be happy, we have to look inside ourselves as opposed to watch the effects in our so-called “real world”. Quantum Physics nowadays is providing us with a picture of reality, which has absolutely nothing to do with our common understanding. So let’s use the knowledge we have and create a world where it will be a joy for anybody on this planet to live. I have faith that together we can achieve this, if we truly want to. It’s up to any one of us to make a difference and together we will conquer ourselves!

The use of religion is well-documented as a social engineering tool and Francis Fukayama’s ‘The End of History and The Last Man’ admits he and his ilk are adept in this regard. Magicians and propagandists are everywhere in the history of Empire since the days of Tuthmosis if not long before that. But there are less overt operatives than the likes of Augustine and there are double agents like St. Bernard. There also are covert operatives or well-trained people who move into political arenas as is the case with Stalin and his use as the corporate CEO of Russia. Do not assume just because low level people in Masonry say their history is replete with the prejudice and persecution by Catholicism that there was no central organizing plan and alliance (Holy or otherwise) through which the Templars worked with their supposed enemy. The next excerpt brings us a lesser known operative who might be called an outright spy like Count Rumford.

“No destination on the whole Spanish Main conjured up such dreams of avarice as the sleepy little town of Portobello on the Caribbean coast of Panama. This was not a thriving metropolis like Havana, or a mighty seaport like Cartagena; it was a small settlement which only came to life once every couple of years when the Spanish galleons put in to collect the silver which had been brought from the mines of Potosi – up the Peruvian coast to Panama City and across the isthmus by mule – before being shipped back to Spain. It came to life because the galleons not only collected silver; they also brought every sort of consumer commodity which the citizens of Portobello and – more importantly – of Panama City wanted. When the galleons were in harbour, a two-week fair ensued, of which a first-hand account has come down to us from a most unusual source: a book called ‘The English-America’ which is not only available to us but which was also available to Morgan.

Thomas Gage, the author of this remarkable work, was an Englishman born around 1600 into an old Catholic family. He studied in Jesuit seminars {Should this be seminaries?} in Spain, was bilingual in Spanish and became a Roman Catholic priest. Indeed, he was accepted by the ever-suspicious Spanish colonist authorities and allowed to travel throughout the length and breadth of their empire, preaching, administering masses and, more sinisterly, taking notes. Ultimately he returned to England and abjured his religion; he encouraged Cromwell to launch his ‘Western Design’ against the Spanish possessions in the New World and gave evidence during Popery scares against his former coreligionists, many of whom suffered grievously in consequence. He remains something of an enigma: not a very likeable man, but an astute observer.

Gage had stayed at Portobello for some weeks in 1637, before and during the celebrated fair. (It was here, incidentally, that he recounted having grave doubts for the first time about the doctrine of transubstantiation, {This has to do with the body of Christ being in those wafers given at the Eucharist as well as the Resurrection fiction.} as a result of seeing a mouse eat the consecrated Host during the service of Mass – an incident which he recounts in a contentiously pseudo-theological way.).” (1)

I ask the reader to consider that this man was a spy who had gone under cover in the first instance of his study in Spain. This comment about ‘contentiously pseudo-theological’ suggests a long time of venomous intent. His willingness to turn over his one-time ‘coreligionists’ that would have included close friends and acquaintances, is also there to consider. The technocrats or courtesans of Jesuit corporate trade empire in the Americas were to become the cause of internecine Catholic battles and the disbanding of their Order on more than one occasion. Weishaupt formed the Illuminati during one of these periods of disagreement. He had founding fathers including St. Germain (De Medicis), Goethe, William of Hesse who is related to Lord Mountbatten’s family, and Mayer Amschel Rothschild who was working with Professor Oppenheim and who I think is of the family Oppenheimer. John Oppenheimer and I became close friends and he wished to have me manage his south London printing company in the early 80s and the Common Market was about to flourish. The developer of the atom bomb was his cousin and we had a most interesting lunch at the Admiralty Club as my voice was heard to echo and the patrons mouths did drop, as I said Russia was a victim and there was no need of armaments or defenses if truth be known. This was before the Berlin Wall came down and I did explain the economic reasons for my position which I now know was fact a lot more than I was aware at that point in time.

BAKUNIN AND JEFFERSON:

There are many ways I can illustrate that Stalin was the CEO of Russia on behalf of the international financiers that include Lord Rothschild who told the Czar he would do what he did. Stalin was a Catholic trained seminarian. Here is Noam Chomsky making a most important connection.
Politics has become something totally absurd. We see Mr. Chomsky makes a good case for something quite the opposite of what people call democracy, being in fact, social engineering by elites.

“A similar move from Stalinist commissar to celebration of America is quite standard in modern history, and it doesn’t require much of a shift in values, just a shift in judgment as to where power lies.

Independently of Jefferson and Bakunin, others were coming to the same understanding in the nineteenth century. One of the leading American intellectuals was Charles Francis Adams, who in 1880 described the rise of what is now called the “post-industrial society” by Daniel Bell and Robert Reich and John Kenneth Galbraith and others. This is 1880, remember. A society in which, Adams says, ‘the future is in the hands of our universities, our schools, our specialists, our scientific men and our writers and those who do the actual work of management in the ideological and economic institutions.’ Nowadays they’re called the “technocratic elite” and the “action intellectuals” or the new class or some other similar term. Adams, back in 1880, concluded that ‘the first object of thinking citizens, therefore, should be not to keep one or another political party in power, but to insist on order and submission to law.’ Meaning that the elites should be permitted to function in what’s called “technocratic isolation,” by the World Bank — I’m being a little anachronistic here, that’s modern lingo — or, as the London Economist puts the idea today, ‘policy should be insulated from politics.’ That’s the case in free Poland, they assure their readers, so they don’t have to be concerned about the fact that people are calling for something quite different in free elections. They can do what they like in the elections, but since policy is insulated from politics and technocratic insulation proceeds, it really doesn’t matter. That’s democracy.

A decade earlier, in 1870, Adams had warned — they were worried then about universal suffrage, people were fighting for the right to vote — he warned that universal suffrage would ‘bring the government of ignorance and vice, with power in the hands of the European and especially Celtic proletariat on the Atlantic coast,’ those horrible Irish people, ‘an African proletariat on the shores of the Gulf and a Chinese proletariat on the Pacific.’ Adams didn’t foresee the sophisticated techniques that would be developed in the twentieth century to ensure that policy remains insulated from politics as the franchise was extended through popular struggle and to guarantee that the general public would remain marginalised and disaffected, subdued by the new spirit of the age and coming to see themselves not as free people who have a right to dignity and independence but as atoms of consumption who sell themselves on the labour market, at least when they’re lucky.

Adams was in fact expressing an old idea. Eighty years earlier Alexander Hamilton had put it clearly. He said there was the idea that your people are a great beast and that the real disease is democracy. That’s Hamilton. These ideas have become ever more entrenched in educated circles, as Jefferson’s fears and Bakunin’s predictions were increasingly realised. The basic attitudes coming into this century were expressed very clearly by Woodrow Wilson’s Secretary of State, Robert Lansing, attitudes that led to Wilson’s Red Scare, as it was called, which destroyed labour and independent thought for a decade.” (2)

This thought-provoking article introduces the reader to various applications of the Christian worldview to a host of political, social, theological and economic issues. Seat belts are required for this ride.

The issues chosen represent a selective sample from Carson’s studies. The Mandate aims to provide something of an overview of what a Christian nation would look like; for “righteousness exalts a nation,” and “blessed is that nation whose God is the Lord.” Boy, is this going to be controversial or what.

1. National Covenanting.

The Law of God requires the conjoining of U.S. churches and citizens into a National Christian Covenant with Almighty God, to honor the Person, Redemptive Work (Gospel), and Law, of the Lord Jesus Christ — as the only proper foundation of law for this land. All other religions [meaning false religions] are thereby to be banned from the public realm; yet they may be practiced privately without hindrance from the civil authorities. Although it is sinful at all times to practice false religion, yet not all sins are to be outlawed. Thus, although it be detestable idolatry, yet the Word of God permits that any person may legally practice PRIVATELY whichever religion(s) he will in his or her own home. Nevertheless, none may publicly promote any religion other than the faith of Jesus in any way, nor attempt to provide any good or service to aid and abet the unlawful promotion of false religion.

2. National Sovereignty. Because the divine law recognizes nations and their leaders as ordained of God’s providence, nations therefore possess legitimate authority with the right of self-government, and all those other rights necessary for the establishment and maintaining of good order in society delineated in the holy Scripture.

Consequently, this mandate rejects the alleged authority of any proposed international CIVIL government — whether formed by way of contract, covenant, league, or other means — as an attempted usurpation of the Crown Rights of Jesus Christ the Lord. For it is written: “but the Lamb shall overcome them, for HE is Lord of Lords and King of kings.” Therefore, multi-national empire-building is unlawful under the New Covenant, to all but the Lord Himself, to whom the nations were given by God (Ps. 2: Matt. 28:18)

3. Public Reverence for God.

3a. In accord with the second commandment, no business should be allowed to produce pictures, movies, films, statues (or images of any kind) which aim to portray any false deity [idols], nor of any one of the three Persons of the most holy, Triune God of the Bible [the One True and Living God].

3b. No business may lawfully import such products (idols of any kind) to offer these for resale to the public in this country. For it is written: “You shall make for yourselves no carved image, nor any likeness of anything that is in the heaven above, or on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. You shall not bow down to them, nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God…”.

3c. Lawful Oath-taking. All oaths must be taken publicly, in the Name of the God of the Bible, as in “God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,” (or some approximation thereof approved by the Christian Church) and in that most holy Name only. No oath taken in the name of any other so-called “god” should have any legal authority to oblige others to any belief or act; indeed, any such a blatant attempt to promote false religion should be punished severely by the civil magistrate. As it is written: “You shall take your oaths in the Name of the Lord.” And again, “Let not the name of other gods be upon your lips.”

4. Sabbath-Keeping. No person or business may lawfully perform commercial labor on the New Covenant Sabbath Day (Sunday), except for the causes of mercy or necessity. But all persons must work diligently (as unto the Lord, and as God enables) on the other 6 days, to meet their own needs, and those of others. For it is written, “Six days shall you labor and do all your work.” And again, “Remember the Sabbath Day to keep it holy.”

4a. No professional sporting event should ever be held, or be permitted to transpire, on the Lord’s Day (any Sunday). No professional sporting event that requires, or deliberately promotes, violence against others may lawfully be held at any time, including boxing, American football, kickboxing, the type of melodramatic “wrestling” popular on TV, or other like “sports.” No for-profit television programming may lawfully transmit on the Lord’s Day, nor any commercial, nor any advertisement for any goods or services.

4b. Environmental Responsibility. The law of God requires that the land be allowed to rest fallow 1 year in 7 (whether done on a rotational basis or all at once). Moreover, the Bible commands all men to manage wisely the resources God has placed under their authority. To that end, this Mandate supports environmentally sound projects, the clean up (and prevention) of environmental damage, the preservation of wildlife, smog reduction, and biofuels (and/ or clean fuels) as a replacement for the use of fossil fuels. For it is written: “The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof.”

4c. Charity. The Bible requires that we seek to bless, protect, and help the weakest members of society: the infirm or injured, the elderly, the poor, widows, immigrants, orphans, the handicapped, and the very young. For it is written, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

5. Biblical Child-rearing.

Parents ought to catechise their children with the standards given them by the Church, as well the Scriptures. Moreover, parents must (when necessary) enforce their God-given authority by either sharply reproving their children, or by spanking them aggressively on the butt until those so disciplined acknowledge their sins, apologising for them as directed by father or mother (or both). God regards failure to do so as the hatred of children, which he strictly forbids. As it is written, “He who spares the rod hates his son.” Moreover, it is the duty, both of the elders of the Church and of the civil magistrate, to aid and abet parents in the sacred duty of discipling their children, insofar as each office permits, and with the permission of the head of the household only.

5a. Male Headship. The Law of God charges that only men may hold public office, whether civil or ecclesiastical, and that the husband is the head of the wife in each family. The Bible thus opposes the holding of any public office by any woman, regardless of her intelligence, skills, or alleged fitness for office based on the appeal to some other attribute. Both women and men may vote at the age of 20 years, if they do and can prove that they own real estate in the U.S.; this is the same age at which men may enter military service. The military may not impose any draft to induce unwilling participants to fight for a cause of which they disapprove. No woman may serve as a combatant (soldier) in any branch of the military, but she may serve the military in a medical capacity, or in some other needed support role. For God has appointed men to serve women as protectors and leaders. Just as it is written: “But I would have you know that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is the man, and the head of Christ is God.”

6. The Right to Life for Infants, and All Other Innocent Persons.

This Mandate stands opposed MOST EARNESTLY to the detestable execution of prenatal infants under the guise of “abortion rights,” or “embryonic stem cell research,” or under any other guise. For it is written: “You shall do no murder.”

6a. Just Foreign Policies.

Nations may lawfully wage defensive wars only, and only against those directly responsible for acts of war. The U.S. has cause against Al-Qaeda operatives and conspirators, whose involvement in the “9/11 attack” can be proven in a U.S. court of law. Saddam Hussein has not been implicated by any such evidence to date. Iraq thus falls outside the proper domain of U.S. jurisdiction. The Bible implies therefore, that the President of the United States, the honorable George W. Bush should order an immediate, yet orderly and convenient, withdrawal of the U.S. military from Iraq; publicly apologize to God, the world, and the people of Iraq for this sin; and to repay the Iraqi people double the market value of the damages caused by the recent U.S. invasion and occupation of Iraq. For it is written: “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin disgraces any people.”

6b. The Death Penalty for Heinous Crimes.

The law of God condemns to death some 30 kinds of criminals, after a full investigation and jury find the suspect “guilty as charged” by the testimony of 2 or 3 credible witnesses [The witnesses cannot themselves be guilty of the crime in question.]. No suspect of a capital crime may be convicted upon circumstantial evidence only, nor acquitted by reason of insanity.

Upon conviction, the magistrate must carry out the penalty stipulated by God (stoning) or its cultural equivalent (firing squad), immediately and publicly. In a few cases (such as adultery, or kidnapping where the victim survives), the law of God allows the victim to waive or mitigate the stipulated sentence, depending on the nature of the crime.

6c. Just Criminal Punishments (Judgments). In the case of lesser crimes, those who commit them should either be fined, or beaten with stripes (whipped in public), or both, as the magistrate shall determine (but never exceeding 40); both the amount of the fine, and number of stripes should be determined by judges upon conviction by a jury. In the case of capital crimes, the death penalty is warranted. In no case should anyone ever be sentenced to an extended stay in a prison.

Prisons only punish innocent taxpayers for the offences of criminals and dehumanize those so incarcerated. The prison system is inherently unjust and inhumane, therefore, and ought to be abolished altogther, except for cells used as temporary detention devices for suspects awaiting trial, or for those convicted of capital crimes who await execution. For it is written: “…that you should not go beyond what is written.”

6d. Personal Medicinal Liberty. The law of the Lord permits no government to ban the sale or purchase of any pharmacological substance or medical equipment of any kind, except those used to promote any sin (such as “birth control”). Nevertheless, anyone found guilty of killing another human being — even though accidentally — while intoxicated or inebriated, because of the effects of some induced substance upon the killer’s faculties — the guilty party shall face the death penalty for negligent homicide, which is the same as premeditated murder in the eyes of God. As it is written: “You shall take eye for eye, tooth for tooth, life for life.”

6e. Biblical Medical Practices.

The psychiatric industry, based as it is upon so many counter-biblical (false) assumtptions that it offers no real help, and does much harm, to persons of all sorts — should be abolished by law — as ought also alleged professional counselors and psychologists.

Most “mental problems” are in fact secondary effects of real physical conditions improperly diagnosed (or undiagnosed) by medical practitioners. Those in genuine need of sound counseling should seek the advice of the wise elders of a church adorned by sound doctrine and good works. The Bible is sufficient for all matters of faith and practice, such that he who understands it well, and obeys it, is fit to counsel others. The wicked do not meet these qualifications — even if licensed by some board or other — and are therefore not fit to counsel anyone. It is written: “Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked…” (Ps. 1:1).

7. The Holiness of Marriage as a God-given Institution.

This Mandate stands opposed to all sexual sin, including birth control (except in cases of undue health risk to one’s wife). It especially repudiates the detestable practices of sodomy, adultery, and the unlawful making or annulling of marriage vows. For it is written: “You shall not commit adultery,” and again, “You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.”

7a. Sexual Purity. All fornication (including prostitution) should be outlawed, including all forms of the public display of sex acts, and sexually suggestive material; all obscene and/ or sexually explicit langauge used in public places, and/ or in print, and/ or by way of any public medium (such as radio or television).

8. Honest Money.

The law of God requires that nations provide 100% collateral against their national currencies, and forbids “fractional reserve” banking, and the printing of paper money “at will.” It is written: “You shall not steal.” Thus, the United States of America should cancel all unsecured debts incurred against it by debtor nations, returning promptly to a precious metals currency standard.

8a. Lawful Taxation and Payment. This Mandate proposes the abolition of all unlawful forms of taxation (e.g. personal, federal income tax and property tax) and the reduction of all taxes combined to an amount totaling not more than 9% of a workers gross income, just as the divine law says. Minimum wage laws must be abolished, and all employers must either pay their laborers wages daily, or else (if agreeable to the workers) the employer must add 20% to the principal owed for each night he withholds the worker’s wage, according to the Law of the Lord.

8b. The Abolition of Entitlements. As God calls civil authorities ONLY to punish evildoers (as defined by His law), the causes of mercy and charity fall to the jurisdictions of the churches, and private enterprise. Thus, the U.S. government (at all levels) should abolish welfare, eliminate or sell the public education system, and cause to cease all other forms of entitlement programs. As it is written: “He [the civil magistrate] is God’s servant.” And again, “Do not add to the words of the Lord, lest he rebuke you, and prove you a liar.” The considerable money thereby saved to the government’s budget should be refunded to all taxpayers.

8c. As it is not the proper domain of the federal government, the U.S. government should abolish all tariffs and import taxes. These unlawful taxes only serve to harm U.S. business interests abroad, and tend to cause international economic instability (e.g. trade wars).

8d. As it is not the proper domain of any government to sponsor sporting or cultural events, The U.S. government should withdraw all funding (and sponsorship) of any endowments for the arts, olympic games, and the like, leaving such pursuits to private interests.

9. Antirealism (Instrumentalism) in the Theoretical Sciences.

Unless the central claims of a theory can be tested OBSERVABLY, there is no way of knowing whether or not they “refer” (point to) extralinguistic entities. The usefulness or predictive power of any model has no bearing upon its truthfulness, as utility and veracity are unrelated attributes. Science history affords many examples of successful theories presently judged “false” by their respective scientific communities. This shows that NO scientific way of determining “truth” apart from a biblical warrant for knowledge exists. As it is written: “All the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hid in Him [Christ]” (Col. 2:3).

9a. Biblical Creationism.

I. No observable evidence exists for the popular-but-silly claims that life evolved from non-life, intelligent life from unintelligent, or that amoral animals evolved into humans. If that WERE true, if things “somehow” become their opposites, this would show that the world is magical, undermining the assumptions that make science possible. Moreover, the interdependence of the organs of organisms and animals renders evolution an “all-at-once” or else “never-at-all” proposition, since changing one organ would require CORRESPONDING changes in the other organs to retain the viability of the organism or animal in question.

Evolutionary theory is therefore: Scripturally false; logically impossible; biologically unprovable, and hostile in principle to the scientific enterprise.

II. This Mandate stands opposed to “scientific creationism,” which seeks to turn the infallible Word of God into the fallible (and often false) words of men (i.e. scientific models). This would rob the Word of God of its ultimate authority, foolishly subjecting God’s surely-truthful claims to man-made (and erroneous) tests for credibility. It is written: “You shall not put the Lord your God to the test.”

9b. Biblical Education. The public education system should be rejected as a competitor to the biblical educational model (discipleship). OGC favors private education offered from a thoroughly Christocentric perspective in: Biblical theology, literature and languages; logic and critical thinking; English; math; history; political science; the physcial sciences; foreign language studies; economics; computer science; philosophy, and all studies preparatory for real-life occupations.

Parents are to play a vitally central role in the rearing of their children in the fear and the admonition of the Lord, and must oversee the education of their children, whether directly or indirectly. For it is written: “Fathers, teach your children;” and again, “Be fruitful and multiply, fill the earth and subdue it.”

10. Fiscal Wisdom.

The law of the Lord permits no form of gambling to the public. This includes all forms of “wagering,” or the use of machines or animals to bet upon or put money in; all attempts to generate (or receive) random payments for money wagered should be outlawed. This does not include prize drawings as incentives to purchase goods and services, where one wagers no money or capital for the opportunity to win — as any person has the right to give away his money or property however (s)he may choose.

Finally, no casino should be permitted to operate, for it is written: “You shall not covet.” Nevertheless, all forms of trading and investing are lawful, whether it be the trading of stocks, futures, options or any other lawful product or service — tangible or intangible — including all tobacco and alcohol products. Yet all tobacco and alcohol products should display clear warnings on their labels as to the potential health hazards of overconsuming such products, and the magistrate may properly restrict smoking to private places, according to the sixth commandment.

Alien Arrogance

Comments Off

The massive demonstrations for illegal aliens should be noticed by even those with passing interest in politics. This is due to the fact that what the pro-illegal crowd wants is nothing less than takeover. With the help of big business, that just may happen.

The huge number of demonstrators in places like Los Angeles and Phoenix is a push for massive power. It also shows a fear and a hatred for border-control. Basically, anyone who calls for an end to illegal aliens and wants to actually bring sanity to our immigration crisis will be labeled “racist” who must be stopped.

This situation has been brewing for many years now. Years upon years of promoting, avoiding, and giving “lip-service” to the issue have led to this disaster. President after president avoided the issue. Senators and congressmen shoved it down our throats. Now, the chickens have come home to roost. An estimated 11 million illegals will soon turn into 30 million if not dealt with in an effective manner. Their “illegal” status will be turned into “legal” by left-wing politicians who see massive power for themselves. This will lead to even more illegals coming here.

America could very easily “fall off the map” if this continues. Importing massive amounts of low-skilled, low-educated immigrants will simply create a nation consisting of just that. Many small employers and corporations have proven that they are “American” in name only. They would (and do) ruin this country on a daily basis. As long as their pockets are full.

Also, the people streaming into America are illegal. Remember that word? If they are not stopped, not deported, why not let in everyone from any nation? Let’s say we let in as many people as possible from Finland? With the current debate blurring illegal and legal, the logic fits.

Politically, we see very few Democrats supporting true reform. Along with Bush, most Democrats gladly will hand over the keys to Mexico as they see short-term votes from such people. Republicans finally see their party dying off-particularly in the House of Representatives-if this invasion keeps up.

The constant waving of Mexican flags is a good thing. It shows where the debate is truly at. Left-wing hatred from college campuses is finally coming out-in-the-open. This is no longer about immigration but takeover. Those who stand in the way are called “nazis” who must be done away with. Native-born taxpayers-especially white ones-are told to keep quiet and keep on paying.

This is a true struggle for the future of our nation. People from all over have been welcomed for years. But now that generosity is being spat upon. Years of fake laws, deceit, greed, back-turning, cowardice, have led us to this turning point in our history. If tough laws are not enforced now, it won’t happen.

Contacting a congressman or senator is where to start. Telling employers you are sick of them hiring cheap labor is another. We are at war here, a war for the health of America. Illegal aliens, the deporting of jobs and the cutting back on wages of Americans is a philosophy that needs to be stamped out. People of any political party are affected. Time to get moving. The other side sure is.

Relations With China

Comments Off

As far as I am concerened, the leaders of China are not now and never will be our friends or allies. The leaders of China do not care about anything other than amassing power and destroying their enemies and since everyone not Chinese is their enemy they feel that it is their duty to someday rule the world. As far as they are concerened the United States is the largest hurdle to their attaining their dreams, therefore the first thing that they have to do is destroy us. They are not currently capable of defeating us militarily so they have decided to attempt to defeat us economically and so far they are doing a fairly good job at it. They are not our trading partner, they are our trading enemy and they are currently trading us into the ground.

Shock of shocks, today I was reading the op-ed section of the paper and found myself agreeing with the author about American relations with China and the VIP treatment Chinese President Hu is recieving in this country. Both of us agreed that President Hu does not deserve such treatment. My shock was, I was agreeing with Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi. I never agree with her.

Her article stated in part “TODAY, PRESIDENT Bush will roll out the red carpet for Chinese President Hu Jintao, a leader whose government brutally crushes freedom, democracy and the religious expression of the Chinese and Tibetan people. Hu will receive the best welcome U.S. taxpayer money can buy, including full military honors and a 21-gun salute.

This is the same regime that provides military technologies to countries that threaten international security, including Iran and North Korea. The same regime that threatens Taiwan with a military attack, detains and tortures Chinese people for expressing their political and religious beliefs and arrests Tibetans for carrying a picture of the Dalai Lama.

While open dialogue is essential, many of us on both sides of the aisle in Congress oppose the celebratory nature of this official visit.

This is not about isolationism. We must have engagement with China, but it should be sustainable engagement that enables us to maintain our values, continue our economic growth and uphold our national security.

Our growing national debt to China is a national security issue. Countries such as China that own our debt will soon not only be making our toys, our clothes and our computers, they will be making our foreign policy.

U.S. policy toward China is ineffective in upholding the pillars of our foreign policy promoting democratic freedom, stopping the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and growing our economy by promoting exports abroad. Instead, we have pursued trickle-down liberty promoting economic freedom first, assuming that political freedom will follow. Reality exposes this policy as the illusion it is.”

There was more to her article, some of which I agreed with and some of which I disagreed with. The point is, though, that we should not be treating the President of one of our most dangerous enemies like he is a favored long lost friend and ally. He is not a favored long lost friend and ally, he is our enemy and should be treated with caution and firmness. It is right that our President should meet with him but it is wrong that our president should treat him with such a show of pomp and ceremony.

Voting machine fraud scrutiny is gathering steam.

This observation was apparent Tuesday as California’s Secretary of State ordered both the controversial voting machine manufacturer Diebold and federal testing labs to “clean up their acts” following actions taken by Black Box Voting, a citizen-led voting fraud group.

This past November, the citizens group requested to examine California’s Diebold Election Systems component, the programmed “electronic ballot box” memory cards used in optical scan and touch screen voting systems.

At first, Black Box member, attorney John Baker, and others were invited to hack away at some Diebold voting systems, setting the official test date for Nov. 30, 2005, states a news release issued Christmas week by Black Box.

But specific testing protocol was to be provided by Diebold and the California Secretary of State’s office without participation by the citizens group, hence delaying the test.

At issue was Diebold’s insistence on being involved in setting up the testing procedures, and Diebold’s provision of hand-picked machines, using new voting systems not currently in use in California.

Three recent activities lead up to the California stand, Black Box leaders assert:

• Bev Harris’s recent book, Black Box Voting, took state examiners to task as she published interviews with state voting machine examiners “exposing slipshod state certification that relies on the flawed premise of strong federal certification.”

• A Riverside (Calif.) computer programmer Jeremiah Akin wrote of Independent Testing Authority or ITA failure during testing of Sequoia voting software, finding “major security flaws in software” and asserting that Riverside had run elections on software that was later found to contain “major security vulnerabilities that were not spotted in the certification process.”

• Susan Pynchon, an ordinary citizen who now runs the Florida Fair Elections Coalition, was able to demonstrate a breakdown in Florida’s state certification process.

The struggle to vote and to have the vote fairly counted isn’t new, and is a theme running throughout U.S. history, says the co-author of two civil rights books.

“After the Civil War, as more blacks tried to register and vote, lynching picked up around the country particularly in the South and especially in Mississippi.

“And so by the 1870’s, Mississippi was setting new records for lynching more black people than any other state, as many whites felt that the freed blacks were getting away with too much freedom and felt they needed to be controlled,” Fred Klopfer said.

Mississippi had the highest lynching number from 1882 to 1968 with 581. Georgia was second with 531, and Texas was third with 493. Some 79% of lynching happened in the South, researchers at Berea College reported in 1997, according to Klopfer.

Lynching soon became a prominent activity in all Mississippi counties and December is a month that goes down in the state’s history: In their research, Susan Orr-Klopfer and Fred Klopfer found that in two days alone in 1874 – December 7 through 8 – over 26 black citizens of Vicksburg were slaughtered by whites seeking to push black elected officials from office.

“One black man affected by this increased brutality was Charles Caldwell. Born a slave and later elected to the state Senate, Caldwell was blamed for killing the son of a white Mississippi judge in 1868.

“Caldwell argued self-defense in front of an all-white jury and was acquitted – the first black charged with killing a white in Mississippi and going free after a trial.

“But seven years later, on Christmas Day 1875, a white gang shot Caldwell to death.”

Meanwhile, Black Box officials assert two recent Diebold events indicate more trouble ahead:

In June the voting machine company “admitted to mis-stating ATM sales revenues in a stockholder conference call. Diebold’s stock dropped again in late September upon the release of a glum sales forecast based on additional problems with its ATM division.”

Just in case you are not an American, a British citizen or an Australian – or if you take no interest whatsoever in word affairs or maybe if you have just woken up after spending years in a coma – George Bush is the President of America, Tony Blair is the Prime Minister of Britain and John Howard is the Prime Minister of Australia.

These three gentlemen and their coteries of advisors, informers and back-slapping sycophantic political hangers-on have a lot to answer for.

Piece by piece they are systematically eroding and dismantling the freedom that the citizens of these three great nations used to enjoy. More and more draconian legislation is being enacted upon the populations. And it is all being done to “protect” us.

The threat of terrorism is real. However, it is the reason given for almost all the changes and proposed changes to our way of life. Whether they are necessary or not is highly doubtful. We are now subjected to all sorts of “new rules.” Police and security forces now have sweeping new laws – shoot to kill being one of the more heinous of them. We saw that recently in Britain where an unarmed man was shot and killed by mistake.

A more “subtle” example is that we are now no longer allowed to take all manner of innocent items onto airplanes. In reality, even the humble pen or pencil could become a weapon in the hands of a trained assassin. So I guess we should brace ourselves for them to be banned at some time into the future too. Perhaps, one day we might all be required to travel devoid of any possessions whatsoever, and nude. That would be interesting.

The paranoia at airports now has to be seen to be believed. Say the wrong words within earshot of an over-zealous security person and you will be hauled into a room for questioning.

Bush, Blair and Howard, in typical politician practice, continually manipulate the truth. They make all sorts of promises to get elected and re-elected then, once the gullible public votes them into office, they set about formulating their own agendas “for the greater good.”

Once elected, all sorts of reasons are offered as to why the promises that got them there cannot and will not be fulfilled. But the prime reason is always the same – terrorism. It has become a convenient catch-all excuse to enact whatever restrictions are deemed appropriate to control and limit our freedom even further.

You would be surprised how many times you are photographed and filmed during the course of a single day in our cities. To catch the bad guys, who are almost always known to the authorities anyway, everybody has to be subjected to invasive intrusions into our privacy.

The public is becoming increasingly cynical but it makes no difference. Nothing changes until another election looms in the future.

Politicians and their “minders” have developed tactics to take the spotlight off their dismal performances. They have latched onto the fact that people who are frightened are far easier to manipulate and control. And they want to been seen to be actively protecting us – for our own good, of course. So, the master puppeteers manipulate us. In Australia, you can now be detained and questioned by police for taking photographs of public buildings. What a crime!

Keeping the population under fear is the second plank of control for career politicians. The first plank is to keep people poor by continually raising taxes, charges, utility costs and forever increasing the amount of compliance that people are required, by law, to conform to. Taking money away from people has become an art form.

Controlling populations is as simple as that. “Keep ‘em poor and keep ‘em scared.”

So, is it any wonder that politicians the world over are spreading the propaganda of terrorism? Issuing endless warnings is a tactical ploy to keep us “on our toes.” The fear is heightened when a “new” terrorist edict is made. A scratchy home video from the mountains of Afghanistan or Pakistan is like manna from heaven to our politicians. It is all they need to be able to turn the screws even tighter on us.

Both sides want us to live in fear – not just the real terrorists but our political masters as well. They want us to be scared. They want us to be afraid. And the politicians want us to know that they are the only ones who can save us.

To prove my point just observe what happens when the next political furore looks like turning nasty for the ruling party. You guessed it – terrorism is brought to the forefront, yet again. It always takes the spotlight off the issue at hand so the blundering politicians can bunker down and go into damage control mode.

Bush, Blair and Howard are masters of manipulation. They are all clones of each other. Most of what they tell us in our “hour of need” is later proved to be incorrect – like Saddam Hussein’s infamous cache of weapons of mass destruction. They still haven’t been found.

Watch the “big three” speak. They all have that very concerned “I’m here to save you” look, they continuously move their heads suspiciously from side to side as though waiting for somebody with an AK47 to enter the press room, they punctuate their diatribes liberally with comments like “the threat is very real” and they deflect or dismiss any pointed question with comments about “national security.”

Like I said, terrorism is real. The Twin Towers, the London bombings, the Bali bombings and other events around the world have proven that. However, terrorism has also become the weapon of choice for our western politicians.

“Keep ‘em poor and keep ‘em scared.” It is a proven formula of success.

The National Response Plan (NRP) established in December 2004 under the guidance of Secretary of Homeland Security Tom Ridge was designed, “To establish a comprehensive, national, all-hazards approach to domestic incident management across a spectrum of activities including prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery.” (NRP, 2) If one assesses the federal government’s response based on the NRP a clearer and more accurate picture of the efforts to deal with the Hurricane Katrina incident can be painted. The effectiveness of the NRP in accomplishing the four aforementioned goals of prevention, preparedness, response and recovery in the wake of hurricane Katrina as well as the federal government’s adherence to the NRP will be discussed herein.

Prevention & Preparedness-

Will Bunch made several negative assertions in his Philadelphia Daily News column Attytood on August 30, 2005 in an article entitled “When the Levee Breaks.” Bunch, along with many others nationwide, seems to feel that the federal government could have prevented the effects of a category five hurricane from being so disastrous; the federal government could have imposed their power over nature. He and others called for a shoring up of the levees around Lake Pontchartrain and named the federal government as the party responsible for doing so, not the local or state governments. Bunch and others claim that the Bush administration cut spending on the SELA project that was designed to help improve flood control in the Southeast Louisiana area, redirecting funds to homeland security and the war in Iraq. It is important to note that not one successful terrorist attack on the United States has taken place since the inception of the Department of Homeland Security which to me indicates that there has been some money well spent on this endeavor. With regard to the war in Iraq, there was overwhelming support from both the Senate and the House of Representatives on October 11, 2002 when the vote was made to authorize a use of force, in fact both senators Breaux and Landrieu of Louisiana voted in favor of the resolution to authorize the use of force. One must also consider the fact that funding to the SELA project was only cut starting in 2003, just two years short of the intended stop date of project funding. What this means is that after eight years of funding the SELA project the levees were still in such bad shape that they did not withstand the force of Hurricane Katrina. What this also means is that critics like Bunch feel that just two more years of federal support for the SELA project would have been enough to prevent the effects of a category five hurricane, even though the levees were reportedly sinking at a rate of four feet annually in some of the worst spots along the line. Lastly, this means that the state and local governments of Louisiana refused to pick up just two years of expenses funding the SELA project at the risk of offending their constituents with higher taxes. Why did the local and state governments not assume the responsibility of shoring up the levees if it was known how serious the situation was in advance as critics say the federal government knew?

There are two more things that should be considered when discussing prevention and preparedness with regard to the Hurricane Katrina incident. CNN, one of the biggest critics so far of the federal government’s response to the Hurricane Katrina Incident, reported on August 29, 2005 that, “About 70 percent of New Orleans is below sea level, and is protected from the Mississippi River by a series of levees.” The article went on to state that, “Forecasters predicted the storm surge could reach 28 feet; the highest levees around New Orleans are 18 feet high.” Considering these reports one must conclude that the levees protecting New Orleans would have had to be raised at least ten (10) feet in all areas (more in some areas) to withstand the surge of the storm. This strikes me as a very unachievable project to attempt within two years, especially with the reported rate of settlement (sinking rate) by members of the Army Corps of Engineers in the year prior to the incident.

One should also consider that on Sunday, August 28, New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin declared a state of emergency and ordered a mandatory evacuation of the city. Those that chose to stay behind did so knowing the risk. In the Center for Disease Control’s list of Key Facts About Hurricane Readiness they say, “Because of the destructive power of a hurricane, you should never ignore an evacuation order. Authorities will be most likely to direct you to leave if you are in a low-lying area, or within the greatest potential path of the storm.” Remembering that 70 percent of New Orleans is below sea level and heeding the warnings of the mayor and other government agencies would have led most wise people to follow evacuation orders and leave the city and surrounding areas. The people who stayed are now criticizing the federal government for a slow response to the disaster in a way that indicates ignorance of the fact that they [the residents that stayed] themselves were very slow to respond to the orders for evacuation. With approximately twenty-four (24) hours notice given to residents to evacuate it is difficult to sympathize with those that did not listen to the orders unless there was a physical or mental impairment that prevented them from complying.

Response-

Hurricane Katrina could very easily fall into three different incident annexes when attempting to classify the incident. The hurricane could be classified as a catastrophic incident due to the destruction that was caused by the incident. The amount of displaced people, structural damage and environmental and commercial impacts could certainly lead one to the conclusion that this was a catastrophic incident. The hurricane could also fall under the category of Food and Agricultural Incident as it was a, “major disaster, or other emergency involving the Nation’s agriculture and food systems.” (NRP, 2) Larry Neumeister of the Associated Press reported Hurricane Katrina’s damage to agriculture in the Gulf states as having topped three billion dollars as of September 14. The last incident annex that hurricane Katrina could fall under is the Oil and Hazardous Materials Incident Annex due to the fact that it is a “nationally significant oil and hazardous materials pollution incident.” (NRP, 2) There are different support plans and operational procedures associated with each incident index. The difficulty in classifying Katrina could have led to some confusion when attempting to apply a plan that had only been fully in place for ten (10) months prior to such a catastrophic incident. The application of varying incident plans could cause the insufficient or inappropriate allocation of resources as well as problems within the chain of command. It was very important for the federal government to evaluate the incident thoroughly before managing it ineffectively. Unfortunately this can, and in fact did, take time. As most members of the first responder community are aware, it does not do much good to rush into an incident and cause undue harm or damage to responders and resources when there are already so many people suffering from the incident; it does not help to send responders in (national guard, fire department, police, FEMA, etc.) if the incident will cause the loss of their lives too. The federal government made a calculated judgment when responding to Hurricane Katrina, which was necessary to preserve the safety of responders.

Recovery-

C-130’s are in the air, troops, experts, volunteers and NGO’s are on the ground and the recovery effort is on its way. Critics still claim that the process is taking too long but one must think back to what was stated earlier about response. The health and welfare of responders must be taken into account when implementing recovery efforts. Responders are being sent in with the task of saving lives and property, not with the task of ending their own life. This is, and will be, a slow process while dangers still exist and the situation evolves. The stability of structures, pathogen hazards and environmental hazards, as well as the fact that we are still in hurricane season and could possibly face more meteorological problems before the recovery process is concluded all must be considered. Removing national guardsmen from their families and places of employment, mobilizing volunteers and NGO’s and allocating billions of dollars in financial aid is a process that should not happen overnight. Approximately two thirds of the people polled recently in a variety of different polls feel that response and relief efforts have been too slow. I would venture a guess that at least two thirds of the population of the U.S. have never seen or heard of the NRP and have no experience with working in emergency situations. I would also venture a guess that more than ninety-nine (99) percent of the U.S. population has never experienced the effects of anything greater than a category three hurricane, especially since only three category five hurricanes have made landfall in the U.S. since the hurricane rating system was developed. All of the Monday morning quarterbacks that are criticizing the efforts should try and focus on the positives and recognize that efforts to improve conditions are being made after an incident that is unimaginable to the majority of us.

Conclusion-

The burden of responsibilities for efforts in preventing and preparing for Hurricane Katrina should have been the burden of local and state governments in Louisiana and other affected areas. The federal government did recognize that there was a problem with the levees prior to Hurricane Katrina and made efforts to improve the levees and assist the local and state governments with funding. Any monies that were diverted from the SELA assistance plan were done so immediately before the planned conclusion of the SELA plan and in most cases were diverted for programs and endeavors necessary for the betterment and security of the United States as a whole. The response and recovery efforts in the Hurricane Katrina incident have been slow but very calculated. The slow, calculated efforts are necessary for the preservation of responder safety and welfare. Individuals must be held accountable for their own safety and cannot expect the federal government to make all decisions for them. If a person is told to evacuate and chooses to stay, then they must be willing to accept the conditions that lay ahead of them and are not in a position to complain about response time. The federal government is fulfilling its responsibilities in accordance with the predetermined guidelines established in the NRP and should be applauded for its efforts thus far.

As you read this our government is ramping up a campaign of oppression against the heartland of America. Operation Cyber Storm, aimed directly at the right of free speech is ready to be deployed against all of us.

Bloggers are thus acknowledged as Americans last hope for freedom.

Bloggers have for years now shown their collective muscle of the mind and heart, changing the direction of government action in many instances, and exposing the corruption that is now endemic to every institution for which Americans pay so dearly.

Now the government has decided they must be silenced. It is time to fight back. We can return America to the governance of the people. In that battle bloggers are our first line of resistance.

The existence of those cantankerous bloggers whose on line discourse, diatribes, and insights annoy so many have become the last, best line of defense for the much tattered First Amendment. The rapidity with which bloggers change opinion has made them a force with which to be reckoned. Therefore this government under the speciously constructed argument of ‘terrorist threat’ is going after the Blogsphere.

It is time for those who truly care about America and our liberties as Americans to abandon the futile activities that replayed endlessly the activist organizing of the 60s. They no longer work.

Alito was confirmed. The Congress is stacked; the Supreme Court is frozen for the forces of big government and tyranny. At this point we cannot count on electing replacements because the ballot process has been hijacked. It is time to climb out of the box and take the offensive.

Bloggers are under attack. They need to be protected. Therefore, the ACLU needs to organizing task forces and action network so that any blogger who is attacked for free speech issues will get all the support needed to spring him or her while using each case to awaken the public to what is happening.

Think of it as the medical support we owe our military when, to protect us, they put themselves in harms way.

We have been divided, right and left, Green and Libertarian. These chasms are in large part fiction, constructed to prevent effective communication and a unified front for protecting the rights of individuals against the predations of the unholy alliance between megacorporations and government.

Decent people may have disagreements about how to get there but they all understand where we want to go. The rights of individuals as enunciated by Jefferson remain today the Mission Statement of America, more profound and compelling of our loyalty than any government or political party. How ever we live, as long as we do no harm to others, is ours to decide.

Political parties are tools we created to help us achieve the goals left uncompleted at the time of America’s founding. Political parties were immediately used to oppose the full participation of each individual in that vision. Blacks remained in slavery; women dispossessed of their rights to their own property and to their bodies. Slavery, as Americans are beginning to see, comes in many kinds.

Where political parties fail because they have proven to be incapable of advancing the work of human emancipation they must be discarded. One of their most profound failings is in the divides they made possible. The redefinition of meanings, linking loyalty to words like ‘conservative’ instead of to the profound principles underlying America’s Mission Statement worked to convert our rights, inherent and preceding government, to privileges, granted by government.

The change in definition that has helped create these divides is beautifully enunciated by R. J. Eskow in his article that appeared today on Huffington.com.

The solution is a working coalition and the way to make that work is to start working together to protect our first line of defense, a common problem, the coming persecution of Bloggers.

Our uniting agenda must include protecting Bloggers as the last bastion of free speech and the Internet as the village commons where opinions are aired, judged, and adopted through the process of persuasion and consent.

Left, Right, Libertarian, and Green; we have common cause and a common need. That need is urgent and compelling. We cannot yet guarantee an honest vote but we can support the warriors of the word who are out there in the trenches.

Blog Power: Celebrate the heroes among us.

Blogging has become the true voice of the people, the only one that the NeoCons have not yet managed to stifle. American Patriots will continue to speak out. In silence freedom would truly die.
