It is not simple to find a scholarship at the moment. University scholarships are unlike the normal student loan because these are a grant for education, and, don’t have to be paid back. While searching methods of funding a higher instruction, research some of the special options, such as scholarships specially for southpaw students.

Funding for Lefties

A left-handed scholarship may seem a little bit strange, but do consider these facts: Julius Caesar was a left hander, as is President Obama. Raphael, Da Vinci, Bob Dylan and Winston Churchill were lefties as well. An estimated 11% of the population are left handed. Regrettably in the past lefthanders have gone through significant discrimination, now they are supposed to be intelligent and more artistic. Stigmatization is now a thing of the past and lefthanders are no longer thought of as odd, as a matter of fact they may even be associated with the exceptional individuals noted previously. There are numerous scholarships accessible specifically for southpaw people if you search around. A Beckley Scholarship for funding up to a thousand dollars is presently available at Juniata College stuated in Huntington, PA. Presented to scholars of Juniata College and it was established in 1979, this unique scholarship helps a lot of southpaws through school. When you are searching for scholarships, be mindful that some of them may have prerequisites and limitations. This can include grades or monetary needs, but not always. Do apply for the maximum amount of scholarships feasible to increase the prospects of backing your college degree with a minimal level of debt. Societies, hobby related groups and local organizations can provide college scholarships. Lefthanded scholarships are just one case; funding is available in numerous different instances for example to the students from military families or if you have a disability. You may need to spend quite a bit of your time researching university funding, of course the return will be worth it. The debt generated by a university education can be reduced via such grants used alongside a student loan. Be sure to research every last eligible scholarship. These funding is not the only alternative – be inventive! If you think you may meet the criteria, then apply, you may keep your student debt minimal, and you’ll be facing a better career future on graduation.

Assuming you are a newbie concerning casino betting, then do please read on.

To clarify terms, a betting saloon is an edifice that organizes friendly gambling. At such a place, visitors can take a risk by challenging one armed bandits or a slew of other betting games. Betting room games may include logically determined chances included that make sure the saloon maintains a lead above the players.

A large amount of gaming hall games can make you end up overly dependent quickly. Let’s scrutinize the good old slot-machine, an electronic contraption with 3, sometimes more discs that orbit if a bar hitched to it is pushed. The appliance consistently reimburses in correlation to a distribution of emblems discernible on the screen of the appliance. Regrettably, gambling saloon games allow the semblance of power, effectively conning the gambling fan: the punter is ceded decisions, but in reality these will not truly remove the customer’s fundamental odds. This is caused by the the betting establishment never paying the full stake as hoped for. This systematic policy is recurrently seen at work in well-known casino games such as poker, dice, roulette or blackjack. Seven card stud is doubtlessly a highly fashionable casino pastime. The gambling aficionados, holding partially guarded hands, make wagers into a principal pot that is bestowed onto the winning gamester controlling the best combination of cards. (And yes, the coolest bluffing hand may well prevail as well.)

Analogous to five-card stud, blackjack is also an incredibly trendy casino pastime. Plenty of its reputation is due to its peculiar mix of luck and expertise and choice making, as well as a procedure labeled “counting”. This is a craft by which visitors may change the odds of the game for their own good both by wagering & strategic actions established on the hands dealt.

“Craps” is a well known casino pastime using the throw of a couple of dice. Gamesters are placing bets on the outcome of of 1 roll, or on a sequence of spins on 2 dice. Contrary to blackjack, there isn’t any probable bona fide killer system you could use to improve the odds.

Roulette is another famous pastime; a croupier revolves a roulette wheel featuring exactly 37 (as applicable to European roulette) or 38 (as in American roulette) independently numbered places in which a tossed ball will settle, which decides on the final winning number Now if a punter happens to bet money on a particular number which hits it i.e. they’ve got a lucky hand, the promised benefit is 35:1, the pledge will be tossed back. Indeed in total it’s multiplied by a factor of thirty-six.

Do your best to stay watchful however, because many of these betting hall games of chance are generally considered categorically dependency building. A totally unacceptable number of lives are known to have been demolished as a result of gambling and although it definitely might be a lot of fun, undertake to moderate your gambling.

In Dec 2008 e-lotto added the Spanish lottery to its product range, giving players globally a immensely improved opportunity of partaking in this giant Spanish lotto prize fund.

If it’s the first time you have come across the Spanish Lotto, allow me to highlight simply how measurable this lottery is to the large majority of the Spanish population. The Spanish lottery has been a public obsession in Spain for a long time with tremendous interest generated by the Christmas draw each year. Its a fact that ninety-eight per cent of the population play this Spanish National lottery each and every Christmas.

There are a few primary reasons why lots of Spanish nationals join in the Christmas Elgordo draw.

First, there is the incentive of the biggest lottery prize fund of any worldwide lottery game – 2.20 Billion Euros! Second, there are in excess of 13 thousand cash prizes to be won. Last, the probability of picking up a cash prize on the Christmas draw is a highly attainable – 1 in 6.

With the measure of interest that’s afforded to the Christmas El Gordo lottery draw, a great deal of individuals are oblivious that there is five extra Spanish Lotto draws each year as well. These lottery games happen in July, January and November, March and May. Even though these 5 games do not feature the whopping prize fund of the Christmas lottery draw, they are big however, ranging from seventy eight million Euros to six hundred and sixty six million Euros. Also, these lotto games offer nearly three times as many prizes as the Christmas draw plus betting odds of picking up a cash prize of an splendid 1 : 3.

The Christmas Spanish lottery functions in a different way to almost all other world lotteries. A whole ticket ‘billete’ is really pricey, costing 200 Euros. However, these lotto tickets are divided up into ten ‘decimos’ (tenths) costing twenty Euros apiece.

When buying your lotto tickets you have the choice of buying one decimo, a complete ticket, or a portion of a lottery ticket. If you don’t buy the whole lotto ticket, someone else will buy the rest of your lottery ticket. For example, when you buy two decimos, somebody else purchases 3 decimos and somebody else purchases 5 and your lotto ticket wins one thousand Euros, then you will receive 200 Euros, three hundred Euros and five hundred Euros respectively. Owing to the expense of buying a full ticket, it is not uncommon for households and acquaintances to amalgamate their lotto cash and all purchase a separate ‘decimo’ 10th.

They say that if you want a happy marriage you should wear pearls on your wedding day.

The most classic of wedding jewellery are pearls. So, how do you go about finding and buying the perfect Pearl Necklace Jewellery.

Pearls come in 4 different types: Tahitian, Akoya, Southsea and Freshwater. 3 of these types of pearls come from the ocean, the only one which does not if Freshwater pearls. They are more valuable than freshwater pearls for their rarity and high luster.

Akoya pearls are the most popular. The Akoya pearl is the classic round pearl with a mirror like finish.

As with any other gemstones, the value of pearls is determined by their quality.

A pearls quality can be A, AA, AA+, AAA, AAA+. If you have two pearls the exact same size, an “AAA” quality pearl would be much more expensive than an “A” quality pearl.

Size, matching, colour, surface, nacre and luster are the six criteria that the quality and value of pearls are based around.

Nacre: Buyers of pearls usually pay most attention to the pearls thickness(nacre). A pearl oyster produces a coating to the pearl nucleus and it is this that is classed as the nacre. It is the nacre that is the main difference between how long a pearl will last. You should look for pearls with nacre thickness over 0.4mm.

Luster and Surface: The amount of light reflected from the surface of the pearl is called the luster. A strand of pearls with high luster, mirror finish and clean surfaces is most desirable and valuable.

Colour: When buying pearls and choosing a colour it is really down to what would suit your clothing ans skin tones.

Size: The price of pearls that are larger than 7mm varies greatly. People usually buy the largest pearls they can afford.

Shape: Pearls come in all shapes and sizes but it is the round ones which are the valuable ones.

Matching: When buying a pearl necklace jewellery set or similar the matching element refers to how well all the pearls in the jewellery match. It is difficult to find enough pearls to make a matching jewellery set as you can imagine and therefore a matching set would command a high price.

Once you have made a decision on what you want it will all then just boil down to the budget that you have. Take your time to shop around and find that perfect pearl necklace for your wedding day or special occasion.

Do you feel as though you are under time pressure for much of your day to day life? Do you think you are “cash rich, time poor”? So many people living in today’s apparently increasingly busy and frenetic world feel as though they do not have enough time – yet we have all the time there is!! Why is it so many people struggle with this? Over the years of running various forms of time management training I have come to the conclusion that the reasons are simple. However, doing something about them is challenging!

To get more from your time, there are 3 basic steps:

1.Decide what you want to do or achieve.
2.Plan and organise to get there.
3.Cope with the distractions to your plan.

It is this third step which causes many to struggle. The range of time thieves which either sneak up gradually, mug us or even get invited in!

You need to identify which ones steal your time. Create a simple system to record them – noting who what they are and who is involved. The main time thieves which typically affect us are listed below, with some ideas for dealing with them. As mentioned, these are both simple and yet challenging. The only person who is going to make them work is you!

Telephone: Learn to be unavailable by turning phones off, using voicemail (although it is important to update messages and not to have a generic one hanging around) or re-directing the calls. Where feasible, have calls screened. Give people a time when you will return calls, and ask for clear messages about the purpose of the call.

Interruptions: Your boss, learn to manage this situation proactively! One option is to acknowledge what they are asking for, state that you have another thing with a deadline and ask them to tell you which is the priority. Another choice is to arrange to meet with your boss regularly, using the time to share what you are planning to do and asking them what they have coming up where they may need your help so that you can schedule it.

Your staff, check whether it is something which really needs your help or is it “a monkey”! You need to create “a monkey free zone” by learning to pass these back, stopping feeding them. Encourage them to think of some options for how they will deal with it, come back and share these and to tell you which they will do. Support them with their choice -and be ready to do it again until they become confident in making their decisions and stop leaving you the monkeys!

If colleagues cause interruptions, learn to feel OK about telling them you are busy, or to give them a time when it is convenient to come back. If this is not working – stand up when they come to your desk or office, they will linger for a shorter time than if they can sit.

e-mail: A real scourge for many in this electronic and IT age. Whether at your computer or with your Blackberry, learn to be away from e-mail for times of the day. (Over-availability is not helpful in time management!) Access your email in certain time slots, rather than immediately. Deal with it during these windows and then do other things until the next one.

Self-inflicted: There are two main elements, the first is procrastination. We all have the ability to put things off until we have no choice other than to do them. Ask yourself, what are the tasks you procrastinate on – and why? What do you hope to gain? What are the consequences? Recognising these, you can get on and do them which will save you time and frees you to do something you can enjoy!

The other aspect to self-inflicted thieves, is the habit of being over-available or inviting people to interrupt you. It is your time, learn to respect this and use it for what is important. Set aside time for you, be unavailable to others so that you can get on with some tasks which need completing. They will be done more quickly and more accurately – freeing you to give time to others.

Identifying the time thieves which cause you to be distracted from your plan is the easy part. Starting to use some of these approaches to reduce their impact is more challenging, however the benefits make it worthwhile. The solution is in one person’s hands – yours! Remember, “if you continue to do what you have always done, you will always get what you have always got”. So, reclaim control of your time and get rid of the time thieves.

What’s for dinner? Mothers quite often ask this question to themselves, and at special times in our lives the need arises again to deliver a menu that is easy, affordable and tasty. As a baby shower host, planning a meal can be a misadventure or a blessing in disguise. Try these three tips I’ve learned, starting with the most learned first.

#1- When choosing the level of difficulty you want your menu to be, think easy! The last thing you want to be doing before the shower starts is running around a kitchen wondering what you’ve gotten yourself into. Unless you have recruited many helpers, be realistic about the food you will serve at the shower. Here are some menu ideas for you that are complimentary and quick, so you will have time to focus on other things on shower day:

Extremely Inexpensive Menu

Sloppy Joes

Potato Chips

Carrot and Celery Sticks

Fruit Bowl (watermelon, cantaloupe, bananas, grapes, strawberries, etc.)

Ice Water and Punch

*If you’d like to, use ground turkey as a healthy replacement for the beef, and keep the BBQ mixture in a crock pot before the shower starts. Another healthy choice is using whole wheat buns which can usually be found at bakery outlets like Sara Lee. Up to two days before the shower, cut the carrot and celery sticks and seal in zip lock bags. Also, be sure to purchase the fruit a few days in advance so that it can ripen on the counter by the time you’re ready to chop it up. Add ice to the punch just before you serve it.

“I Want to Serve A Meal and Have No Time” Option

Slow Cooker Tortilla Soup

4 Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts

tsp. Minced Garlic

2 (14 oz.) Cans Chicken Broth (fat free is a great substitute)

2 (14 oz.) Cans Stewed Tomatoes, chopped, with liquid

1 C. Medium Salsa

2 T. Dried Cilantro

1 T. Ground Cumin

Combine all ingredients in a 4 to 6 quart slow cooker. Cover and cook on high 6 hours or on low heat 8-10 hours. After 4 hours, shred the chicken, put it back in the crock pot and continue to cook. Serve over strips of flour or corn tortillas cut into -inch strips. Topping choices include shredded cheese, sour cream, avocado slices, chopped green onions and sliced olives.
*The chicken can be cooked and shredded in advance. I hear nothing but slurping sounds when this soup is served on a cold winter evening. Serves 10.

#2- Good etiquette suggests that guests “repondez, s’il vous plait” which means “respond, please.” It is a necessity to know how many people you are preparing for. A perfect solution for the host and guest alike is to include a homemade postcard in the invitation. Address it to yourself and affix postage. Postcard stamps are .20 cents right now. Have guests check a box indicating whether they will be attending or not and a place to write how many guests you can expect.

#3- Consider food allergies. My oldest daughter, Alison, is allergic to wheat. Now that I have been welcomed into the world of food allergies, I am keenly aware of how many people are affected by them also. Include a place on your “automated RSVP postcard” to ask if people have food sensitivities or health concerns. Menus can be easily adapted to fit their individual needs.

British historian, David Irving, was convicted in an Austrian court recently for the “crime” of denying the Holocaust. Irving pled guilty to the charge since he faced upward of ten years in jail. He will serve three years.
Some people will say this is a good thing since the Holocaust was such a terrible thing. While there is no denying the Holocaust was a terrible thing, locking someone up for an opinion is a bad thing as well. It is also something that will come back to haunt Europe. Fascism equals fascism, and these “anti-hate-speech” laws are fascist.
One can label Mr. Irving a “jerk” or “insensitive.” But should the guy be locked up for three years for an opinion? He was not even calling for violence of any kind against any group. No, just the fact he had issues with the authenticity of the Holocaust placed him in jail. Scary stuff.
Austria is certainly not the only place in Europe with these draconian laws. They are all over Europe. In Britain, British National Party Chairman, Nick Griffin, was recently put on trial for the crime of “incitement to commit racial hatred.” In other words, he said politically incorrect things. He spoke of a need to cut back on immigration and fears that Britain would become a non-white nation. Well, half of America would be in jail if such things were a crime here. Luckily, he was found not guilty on some charges and the jury deadlocked on others. He still has to face a re-trial on the other charges. Again, no violent calls for assaults, murders, etc. Just a “right-wing” guy with views.
In Germany, a guy was recently sentenced to a year in jail for printing the word “Koran” on toilet paper and then distributing it, some to mosques. What’s next? Two years in jail for cartoons?
Which of course brings us to the “infamous” cartoons. The cartoons depicting the Prophet Mohammad by a Danish newspaper has actually led to riots and death. Do you have any doubt arrests will occur for “anti-Mohammad” comments or publications?
Europe had better come out of its politically correct period. They are making up for the Hitler era with Hitler policies. This cannot go on forever. Repression is always fought against, even if little by little. To lock up people for opinions and views not to the current liking of the government is fascism. There is no other way around it. To quote Mr. Irving, who will do three years for his opionion, “The law is an ass.” No doubt. And one that simply will not be tolerated.
