Children seem to go through clothing at an alarming rate. They either grow out of it almost as fast as they grow into it, or the rough and tumble of play causes irreparable damage. So when you’re buying clothes for your children, it’s important to think about what you’re buying, not just in terms of price, but also in terms of its suitability for your child.

With infants, it’s important to remember that they feel the cold. It takes a while for their bodies to learn how to adjust to different conditions, and so it’s up to you to make sure your child is dressed appropriately. I was told once that you should always dress a baby in one layer more than you’re wearing yourself, and I’ve found that to be a good rule of thumb. If you’re in a particularly cold environment, remember baby’s extremities should be covered with a hat, gloves, and perhaps add a blanket as well. If baby is sweating or his skin is red, you may be dressing him too warmly.

The flip side of this, too, is to take care during warmer weather. Babies might struggle to generate their own body heat, but they’re also still learning to cool themselves down. Dress baby in cooler materials, with good ventilation, but still check to make sure baby’s extremities are warm.

No matter what temperature it is, baby’s clothing should allow free movement of all part’s of the child’s body. Clothes that are too tight could cut off circulation to a part of baby’s body. This is particularly true once baby is learning to roll over and then crawl - he needs to be able to do those things without being restricted by clothing. Dresses may look very pretty on your baby girl, but can be extremely difficult to crawl in.

The material the clothing is made from is also important. Baby’s skin is very sensitive, and rougher materials can cause irritation. You also may find using a special baby detergent is best when washing baby’s clothes, as it is also less likely to cause irritation and rashes.

Your baby’s clothing shouldn’t have too many decorations, like ribbons or large buttons. If these items become detached, they could be a choking hazard.

Remember, too, that lots of babies don’t like having their diaper or clothes changed. So anything that can help make the process quick and easy is worth having in the wardrobe. I always had loads of baby jumpsuits or all in ones in my baby’s wardrobe. These had snaps or pop studs from the neck all the way down to the knees. That meant it was possible to change the diaper without having to remove much clothing, but at the same time it was easy to remove the whole jumpsuit and replace it in only a few seconds. The other thing I liked about these was how easily you could add layers of clothing or blankets over the top if baby was a bit cold, and remove them if baby was hot.

Local radio has taken a beating from satellite radio. But are XM and Sirius capable of killing local broadcast radio?

The broadcasting corporations such as Infinity and Clear Channel are answering with an emphatic “no!” And they have a powerful weapon called HD Radio to back up their position.

HD Radio is digital radio. As such, it enable a dramatic increase in sound quality. In fact, it makes AM radio sound as good as today’s FM and FM sound as if you were listening to a CD.

Other important reasons

But there are other, equally important, reasons why satellite radio will never replace conventional radio. First and foremost, is cost. Satellite radio costs anywhere from $11 to $14 a month and conventional radio is free. As a result there are only about 5.5 million satellite radio listeners in the U.S.and literally hundreds of millions of broadcast radio listeners. It’s pretty hard to believe that satellite radio will ever have 100 million listeners, let alone several hundred million.

Second, satellite radio can’t deliver local information or programming. People will always turn to their local stations for weather, traffic reports, news and to hear their favorite personalities.

Third, satellite radio cannot continue to hire personalities such Howard Stern and Bob Dylan to attract subscribers because the cost is just too prohibitive vs. revenue generated from new subscribers. In fact,J.P. Morgan just downgraded the stocks of Sirius Satellite Radio and XM Satellite Corp saying that these two companies face near-term challenges to subscriber growth.

With a new concept called HD2

Because HD radio is digital, it requires less spectrum. This allows stations to broadcast their primary FM channel in digital and up to two more subchannels. These subchannels, which are being called HD2, will be used by broadcasters for new programming content. For example, a station might broadcast oldies of the 80s on its primary channel and hits from the 70s on an HD2 channel. The subchannels will not only be free, they will most likely be commercial free to compete head-to-head with satellite radio.

In short, broadcast radio is not going to die anytime soon. Or anytime at all.

“Call display spoofing” and “call spoofing” are almost the same thing. They represent a service that comes into your life offering you and your family privacy and safety. Call display spoofing simply offers you the great ability to change what appears on someone’s phone display when that someone receives a phone call from you. With this ability, the call display spoofing service offers phone number anonymity so you wouldn’t have to give away your real phone number every time you make a call.

Call display spoofing emerged a couple of years ago and it has been helping private investigators and law enforcement with the call spoofing tools they need to perform their jobs much more effectively than before. They would use the call display spoofing system for a “pretext call”, a phone call on which the private investigators solicit valuable information under a deceptive guise.

Call display spoofing uses VOIP(Voice Over Internet Protocol) technology. VOIP is a system that allows phone calls over an Internet connection. Using a private and secure channel, call display spoofing service transfers phone calls from the usual phone carrier to the Internet. Another part of the call display spoofing system is that when you dial a number using the system, you can put on your called person’s phone display any phone number you wish. This is why some people don’t think that call spoofing should be legal because it allows pranksters to make silly jokes on their friends or relatives. But this kind of manifestation of some who use call display spoofing is far away from any type of harassment and this is really not a good reason to put the system in the illegal part.

Grojan Fabiola is the author of this fine article, written to help all Internet users to learn more about call display spoofing and call spoofing. Of course the information here is very little, but if you want to find out more about call display spoofing and call spoofing, please click here.

Okay, so you’ve been emailing each other for awhile, maybe you’re text messaging and perhaps you’ve talked on the phone. You feel a certain chemistry and you want to move on to the next step, the FIRST DATE. You can’t decide where to go or what to do. The possibilities for that first date are endless. I’d like to make a suggestion; skip the whole dinner and a movie thing. Try something different. Step out of your comfort zone; out of the box. Remember when you were little and it was okay to color outside of the lines? Try it. It can open up a whole new world. Forget about the standard dinner and movie. Dinner’s nice, but why spend two hours in a theater watching someone else when you can be doing something fun that will help you get to know one another?

Put on your thinking cap and get creative. If you’re not the creative type, ask for help from your family and friends. Not only will something different be fun, but you’ll stand out in the crowd. Your date will remember the fact that you gave some thought to where you were going and what you were going to do. Your first date can easily be a success. There will be plenty of time later on, if you continue to see each other, for dinner and a movie.

Personally, I like bowling. You might be laughing right now, or thinking “no way”, but I can tell you that it can be a lot of laughs. Bowling is a gas, and it’s a great idea for a first date! It’s also nice that you are surrounded by other people, making your date feel safe. In addition, the fun and laughter around you can be contagious. If neither of you have ever bowled, it can be a learning experience for both of you, and no one will be at an unfair advantage. If one of you has bowled before, it can be an opportunity to be a teacher. On the other hand, if both of you have bowled, you can just relax and enjoy yourself. Throw a little alcohol into the mix (for it is one sport that actually invites you to imbibe) and just have fun. You might each bring a friend, which will also alleviate some of that “first date” stress.

If you’re not into bowling, a picnic can be nice. Now, I understand that picnics usually have a romantic stigma attached to them, but you can change that. Rather than finding a nice little secluded spot in the middle of nowhere, plop yourself down in the middle of a populated park somewhere. Entertain yourselves by people watching. You can make an impression, if you put some thought into it. Think about the menu and the accoutrements. If you’re not so swift in the kitchen, ask someone who is. Try a local deli or gourmet store. Many of them will be only too happy to put the whole thing together for you. Pick a menu and accessories that will make a statement. Forget the styrofoam cups and potato chips. Up the ante a little bit. A bottle of wine or champagne is a nice touch, but don’t forget the corkscrew and the glasses. There’s nothing worse than finding yourself unprepared when you’re trying to make a good first impression. Make a list and check it twice. Remember something to sit on, and make sure it’s nice, clean and without holes or stains. Remember napkins; cloth is nice. Be sure to bring such things as salt and pepper, and ice cold bottled water is always good. Run through your plans with a fine toothed comb and get rid of any snags.

Where you are and the time of year can help dictate where you go and what you do. If the weather is nice you could take a nice long walk or hike, and stop somewhere along the way for something cold to drink. You could go to the beach, walk along the boardwalk and stop for lunch overlooking the ocean. Roller blading or bicycling is always an option, as is a trip to a local winery or a farmer’s market. If it is winter or the weather is chilly, your options might be a bit different. Instead of roller blading, you could try ice skating. If you’ve never skated and you go to a public skating rink, you can find comfort in the fact that you won’t be the only ones falling down. You will be surrounded by others doing the same. If there’s snow around, you could go somewhere nice for lunch where there is a wonderful view. The possibilities, like I said, are endless.

If you plan ahead of time, you can ask others for dating ideas. Your Aunt Mary of Uncle Bob might know just the spot. You can go to your local Chamber of Commerce or Visitors Center for information. Sometimes we have events in our own town that we know nothing about. When the weather is warm, many towns and cities have outdoor concerts or festivals of some kind. There might be someplace historical you’ve never been. Museums and art galleries are good too.

So, if you want to have a successful first date, give it some thought. Don’t be afraid of the unknown. Instead, embrace it. Enlist the help of family, friends and co-workers. Peruse your local Sunday paper or Weekly. Dare to be different. If the date ends up being a bust, at least you’ve tried something new or out of the ordinary. Good luck and happy dating!

The idea of finding software that will effectively promote your business to customers is a good way to separate your company from the noise of other forms of advertising and promotional techniques. In this area, you will need to consider a number of points to make sure your investment in advertising through software gives you what you are looking for.

1. Utility - One aspect of promotional software to consider is what your customers will be using it to accomplish. You will want to look at what utility the program has to offer your customers, in addition to the information it provides about your services. The programs you purchase should be simple to use, easy to understand, and have the ability to keep your customers engaged with using the application long enough to discover the benefits of the information it contains. The software should not only contain a functionally attractive package, but also an effective means for encouraging customers to use the software as a repetitive portal for connecting with your business and its services. A great promotional software package will offer the capability of expanding or updating both your business information, and the functionality of the software itself through periodic updates.

2. Price - Promotional software should be priced to offer you options for how to get the most return for the dollars you have to invest. Your company should be able to examine what licensing options you are allowed to use in distributing the software via web based downloads, on CD, and what options your customers have for distributing the information themselves.

3. Support - When you consider a promotional software package, the last thing your company will want to take on is handling support issues from customers. You should find out what support the software has to offer, and who will be responsible for answering questions and issues that might arise.

4. Try before you buy - If you are going to invest in the purchase of a promotional software package, you should be able to see how the product works before you make an investment. All the advertising in the world will not allow you to see how your business information is implemented within the scope of a promotional product. You should be able to see what you will be getting and how it works through a hands-on demonstration of the proposed product.

5. Flexibility - Your promotional software should provide the flexibility to connect customers with your internet based information directly without using complicated searches or passive connection information to reach your web site. Customers should be able to click directly to your web site within the desktop application itself.

6. Updates - Your promotional package should be geared to provide your customers with updated changes to your static information, allowing you to keep your information fresh within the application itself.

7. Convenience - If you participate in a promotional software package, you should look for techniques that will not require months of expensive consulting, meetings, and planning with the software provider to bring your offering to the market. Ideally, you should be able to use remote communications to accomplish the transfer of necessary details and information needed to get your business information into motion.

In the area of creating promotional software, there are a variety of approaches available for consideration. Your best investment will be with techniques that keep you in direct touch with your customers, and keep your business at their fingertips, whenever they want to connect with what your company has to offer them. Look for a format that has the ability to grow with your business, and provide techniques for keeping your customers coming back for more.

We have with us the conclusive proof for the Power of positive thought energy from the man who involved himself in the experiment of thought energy. His name is Marcel Vogel. He is a renowned scientist. He says: “I am probably the first person in the world to have shown scientifically that there is energy accompanying the process of thought. I have measured this energy in experiments involving plants (philodendrons) and my own thought processes”.

Mr. Marcel went to India and watched experiments on plant growth being carried out at the Bose Institute of Calcutta. The scientists there use a recording cresograph to chart the growth rate of a plant- in this case a blade of grass. This blade of grass was sealed off in a glass chamber. The Scientists could look on, but not physically interfere. They watched the machine plot a growth curve for this plant, a curve that would be considered ‘normal’ in comparison to other growth rates. As Marcel Vogel watched, he suddenly decided to focus his mind on that blade of grass. He took a deep breath, held it, and then exhaled quickly. The plant’s growth rate accelerated! In other words the energy from his mind went out into the plant, and that mind energy caused the normal growth rate to change. When he focused his mind on the plant, the recorder indicated an accelerated rate: when he released his breath, the recorder jumped to a much higher point on the graph and continued to plot a curve from that higher point. In other words, it just totally transcended the normal growth rate and began a new curve at a much higher point. The whole rate of growth of that plant was modified by the thought energy.

Mr Marcel continued his experiments and proved that positive thought energy could be sent to anybody.

Madam Annie Besant and C.W.Leadbeater in their book, ‘Thought Forms’ state :

“Each definite thought produces a double effect - a radiating vibration and a floating form”.

“The radiating vibration conveys the character of the thought. The quality of the thought determines colour. The nature of thought determines form. Definiteness of thought determines clearness of outline”.

Annie Besant and Leadbeater advise us to cultivate helpful thoughts.

Thoughts are our own real children. Positive thoughts will produce positive results. Noble thought will bring happiness.

The astonishing scientific facts are compelling and convincing to cultivate the habit of ‘Thinking Positively’.

Left unchecked, one of the worst feelings in the world is opening a credit card statement that you know you have no chance of making the minimum repayment, let alone paying off the entire balance. Times such as these are stressful and if ongoing can cause you serious personal and financial problems. As such, dealing with credit card debt is vital. Here are a few useful tips:

Your Credit Limit

Number 1 in any understanding of your card is that your credit limit is just that, a limit not a target. In other words, while it is easy to understand why people max-out their credit cards in the first month, you need to always remember that your limit is that maximum you can use and not the amount you must use. Moreover, you should always be honest with yourself and ask yourself from time to time whether or not you genuinely believe, given your current financial position, you can repay your credit card debt. If you feel that your credit card debt is becoming overwhelming, talk with your card provider about decreasing your card limit. Keep in mind that you can always increase the limit again should things become financially more secure.

Your Credit Card APR

The APR you are paying on your credit card will be affected by what your credit rating score is. Keep this in mind and try and make sure you always keep the interest payable on your outstanding balance to a minimum by ensuring that you keep a good credit rating.

Your Credit Card Statement

If you have become afraid to receive a credit card statement then you may be equally afraid to read your credit card statement. However, this is possibly the most important time for you to be reading the statement as you may be being charged extras, such as late payment fees, which increase your account amount and thus you minimum monthly repayment amount. If you are making the wrong minimum monthly repaying as a result of what you guess the amount should be you are liable to be charged additional fees. And do the spiral continues.

Dealing with credit card debt is all about knowing how much you have to repay and how much you have available on your balance. This does not mean, however, that just because you made a repayment you have to use the credit card again the next month. Ideally you’ll make a repayment and not use the card again for a while. If you are using your credit card to sustain your day to day living then the time may have come for you to consider a consultation with a financial consultant to seek other ways to manage your credit card debt so that you can get things back on track.

Are you honouring God with your body? Would God be pleased with your stewardship of his holy temple? In Romans 12:1 Paul urges us in view of Gods mercy to offer our bodies as living sacrifices; as a spiritual act of worship to God. But how do we move from an unhealthy, sedentary lifestyle to one that God would approve of?

The following scripture contains the necessary ingredients to help you build the foundations for developing an Active Image.

“If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me” (Luke 9:23).

“If Any Man Will Come after me”

a. It is important to seek the right information before beginning any type of fitness routine but where do you put you faith and trust. It should not be in the scale, or in the magic weight loss potion. Ask God to order your steps and lead you in the right direction.

b. It is a definite choice that you must make. You must fully believe ..”.as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord” (Josh. 24:15). Choose health over sickness and dis-ease. Choose to serve God by honouring your body.
c. We must be firm in our decision . No half-steppin’, no turning back, no 1 time deals- fitness fads will come and go but Christ’s motivation is forever. He is the best personal trainer you could ever have! Look at all of the areas that might cause you to stop what you’ve started and work on eliminating them.

“Let Him Deny Himself”

a. We live in a world of self-indulgence. We must chose to not follow the worlds example of always satisfying our fleshly desires; our every craving; our constant ” I don’t feel like it attitudes” and learn to practice self- control
b. What do you need to deny yourself in order to start getting active. Working 12 hours a day, 1 hour of sleep, television. Whatever it may be, use Jesus’ life as an example
c. James 1:12 says “blessed is the man that endureth temptation” Start today to chose 1 thing that you are prepared to give up that is hindering you fitness efforts.

“And Take Up His Cross Daily”

a. A healthy lifestyle is a daily commitment. It is our human nature to start off hot and then fizzle out but God nature calls for patient endurance. “The race is not give to the swift or the strong, but to the one who endure to the end” (Ecc. 9:11)
b. We should be consistent in our devotion to God- daily prayer and bible study
c. Do something for your body everyday- whether it’s a 20 minute walk or strength training exercises.

“And Follow Me”

a. The decision to follow Christ will require strength and courage to stand when you often will not feel like it. We must develop a ‘never-give-up attitude’, relying on help from Christ. “Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might, having put on the whole armor of God” (Eph 6:10)
b. Consider making the Lord your personal fitness trainer. He will direct your fitness path if you follow him.

Pray this Prayer: Lord you have entrusted me with this body, it is your temple. Lord you have designed it so perfectly, so intricately, so powerfully and it is my desire to honour it, care for it, nurture it and preserve it as best as I can. Lord, help me get the daily encouragement to exercise, eat healthy and maintain a healthy level of stress. I come against the ‘lack devils’; lack of motivation, lack of will power, lack of time, lack of money. Renew my mind and help me to understand that my body is a representation of you. I want to offer my body to you as a sacrifice that is holy and pleasing in your eyes. I understand that this is my spiritual act of worship. I claim the victory in Your precious and Holy name.

If you have no desire to train a horse or have a green horse (young inexperienced horse), then you ought to look at buying a horse that is around 5 years and older. That way the horse has had a number of years where he has been ridden and taught. If you are looking to learn a particular sport and compete, then it could be to your advantage to buy a school master.

This is an older horse that has successfully learned and usually competed in a sport and is looking for a little less action. The owner may not think the horse is ready for retirement and would be an excellent teacher for a beginner rider starting out. Depending on the age and health of the horse, you could learn and begin to compete on the same horse. Or you could learn on the older horse and buy a younger horse once you start competing. Of course that leaves you with another question of what to do with the older horse?

How much can you afford to spend on the horse? This question helps you decide whether you buy a young horse, an older horse, or even a foal. If you are seriously looking to compete you may be more concerned about bloodlines. Bloodlines relate to a horse’s ancestry. Typically horses with good bloodlines are pricier, so buying a foal could cut the cost however you have to then wait a number of years until you could compete with your purchase.

It should be noted that a foal with excellent bloodlines and good conformation (body proportion) can cost far more than a horse with an unknown or unproven bloodline.
Usually a horse that has good bloodlines or has proven himself in a sport is going to cost you the most. Not only do you consider the cost in buying the horse, but in also purchasing all the equipment you’ll need for riding and caring for your horse.

Do you already have all the tack necessary, riding gear and grooming equipment? This can add up to a tidy sum and you may need to lower your budget so that you can buy all the equipment you need.

In our previous publication, we touched on the subject
of 2-stroke diesel engines. Today, we ask why we choose
to use 2-strokes?

As you might remember, for a 2-stroke engine, the piston
has to move up, and then down to complete one cycle of
the engine. In those 2 strokes of the piston, the
crankshaft will have turned 1 revolution. In those 2
strokes of the piston the engine has also completed
4 stages of the combustion cycle - air intake,
compression, combustion and exhaust.

Now, compare that with a 4-stroke engine. The piston
moving down will complete the air intake stroke. When it
moves up again, the piston completes the compression
stroke. Next comes the injection of fuel. Combustion
takes place. The piston is forced to move down by the
pressure of the gases. When the piston moves up again,
it drives out all the exhaust gases in the exhaust stroke.

The piston in a 4-stroke engine will move 4 strokes in
order to complete the 4 stages of the combustion cycle
- air intake, compression, combustion and exhaust.

The power developed in a 4-stroke engine is based on the
formula,

Power = PLAN/2, where,

P is the mean effective pressure inside the cylinder,

L is the stroke length of the piston travel,

A is the cylinder bore or the area of the piston top,

N is the number of revolutions per unit time.

In a 2-stroke engine, because the power is developed in
the same revolution, the formula for Power becomes,

Power = PLAN

This means that with the same mean effective pressure,
stroke length and bore (area), the 2-stroke engine can
develop twice the power of a 4-stroke engine!

If size, weight, and material cost are causes for
concern, the 2-stroke engine has the clear advantage.

Well folks, 2-strokes have the advantage of higher
power with small size. However, there are some
disadvantages too. That could be discussed later…
